| NOTE: TCM-SS100 ball pull-out system required an oval pilot hole. Ball Pull-Out system does NOT provide a pilot hole. The optional Extruder
System can provide the necessary pilot hole. Otherwise pilot hole will
have be made by hand, milling machine, drill, stamp, press, or other method. |
Tube with pilot-hole is slid over mandrel with ball-holder and ball. Tube
is then clamped in feed-clamp and positioned so that center of pilot hole
is right above center of pull-out ball. (Optional NC feeding for easy positioning). |
Hydraulic clamp dies firmly clamps work. Head moves down and connecting
screw is inserted into pull-out ball.Connecting screw automatically spins,
connecting with ball. |
Hydraulic cylinder pulls out ball thereby forming collar. |
Sizing punch is lowered down into the collar to ensure perfect roundness
and exact diameter. |
Punch is automatically retracted and returned. Ball is lowered back into
ball holder and connecting screw spins to disconnect from ball. |
Connecting screw is retracted. Clamps are released and tube is either moved
to next collaring position (NC positioning optional) or removed from machine. |
